A good sealant should...
Only one sealant since 1933 has been able
to satisfy all the above criteria Young's Super
Seal and over the decades it has been highly praised by all who have
used it. Most radiator specialists have also appreciated it's properties
at allowing the cooling system (radiator) to be easily fixed instead of
having to be replaced. Something insurance companies like to.
There are now so many "quick fix" sealants that don't tell the consumer
all the consequences of using their product. Most respectable radiator
repair places will advise you never to use any sealants in your cooling
system, sadly these people haven't heard of our super seal or understandably
have just lumped all sealants into the same "bad news" category.
Something Young's through it's web pages and you can correct! |

(As the cooling system operates under pressure, all components must be able to withstand such pressure.) Your cooling system specialist will: Drain the cooling system, usually remove the "holy" radiator and replace the damage section, or solder the hole(s) up or a similar action to effect a permanent repair. Note: Cooling systems that have been in use for a few 100,000's Km or more are probably going to be replaced, as a repair may not be practicable. It all depends on how well the cooling system has been treated over its life time. Notes to specialists at repair time:
even if accidentally burnt in the solder repair process. As the cooling system has been drained and exposed to the air, do the usual checks of all the other components (thermostat, hoses, etc...) and clean away all unused remnants of the sealant. Once all repairs are done, refill cooling system as per vehicle's handbook. |

a few customers have tried it in their oil based cooling/heating systems with amazing results. The oil based cooling/heating system is designed for building environments where high temperatures are needed for food and produce processing. Do not confuse the oil system here with an automobile's lubrication system. Agriculture water systems: Our Super Seal is used to plug leaky water reticulation systems, until a more permanent solution can be applied. Some temporary solutions have lasted years, although we do not recommend reliance on the product for such periods, repeated top ups would be requireed. Hot water systems: Our Super Seal is also reported to have been used in tank water hot water services as a fast temporary fix for leaky systems until a more permanent repair can be done. We have not tested the product for use in such applications, theoretically it should work OK. In general: Any oil/water reticulation system, weepage can occur at the pipe joins, or where corrosion has occurred. The application of Young's Super Seal can provide temporary patching until a more permanent solution can be provided. Where ever there is a leak between a fluid and the air, our sealant will most likely patch it. Use as directed. If in doubt on your particular application please contact us. |

Here are a few from our files, edited to conceal identity and kept to just the basic tale. Select Story: Farming. Mining. Bizarre, Secret Agent If you have a story on using our sealant please drop us a note. We love to here from our customers. |

A tractor, the work horse of the modern day farm. needing occasional attention and care to provide the necessary functions of daily farming chores. Most tractors use water/glycol cooled engines and have big radiators. So when you get a hole in the radiator you need to patch it PDQ or face a few days without the work horse. One farmer in a state of Australia had such a problem, fortunately the farmer had thought ahead and kept a vial of our super seal in the tractor's tool kit, just in case... Within several minutes the hole was sealed and the farmer could keep going. Now like so many of us hard working types you concentrate on the tasks at hand and forget or put off until later to undertake repairs. This particular farmer did and our sealant held for several seasons before he got around to getting the radiator fixed. "The hole never leaked from the day I put your stuff in, to the day I got it fixed..." Young's does not recommend that our sealant be relied upon to last this long, but our farmer friend was so impressed about the product he put pen to paper and sent us a note. Since 1933 we have had 100's of such letters and phone calls on how well our sealant works. |

Those BIG dump trucks the size of a "small block of flats". These monsters are operating 18 to 24 hours a day and some are fully automated, no human driver. So when one of these trucks fails, its 1000's of dollars an hour in lost production. So anything that can keep one on the road now, without massive costs to fix later, is a repair / production managers dream come true! Young's Super Seal has kept these monsters in the mine and earning their keep until their scheduled maintenance period. A delighted production manager said "Your sealant is worth 10 times what your distributor charges for it... It has saved our company 1000's of dollars in unscheduled maintenance and lost production." |

It has been alleged that an over zealous police
person did confiscate several vials of Young's Super Seal from a customer,
thinking it was some form of illegal narcotic powder. We have had a few
customers now say police have treated the vials as suspecious, hmmm.
Our sealant however is not a narcotic or a substance that could
even be used as such.
Perhaps it because some our customers refer to this product as "wacky
weed" and I suspect this may have been the reason for the confiscation
and customer detainment. We have had several explainations from customers
on why they refer to it as "wacky weed";
It is organic, if ingested has no harmful side effects and If inhaled through nasal passages will probably cause sneezing, runny nose and / or coughing, normal reactions to any irritant entering breathing passageways. A bizarre story, one that has been repeated to us many times by serveral customers. |
